Over the weekend I help my friend detail his Envoy, dual PC'ing baby!

Anyways, he got his kit from Autogeek(CCS pads), I got mine from DetailersDomain(Uber pads)...

We ended up using a mix of pads from both vendors to get his Envoy up to snuff...

I didn't care for theCCS Pads and how much material they soaked up during waxing, but I guess they have a red pad that would have been better then the blue.

Anyways, I did like the 6.5" pad on the 5" backer plate for waxing, it let the pad flex a lot to follow the body lines better and to get into tighter areas with the flex that would have normally had to be done by hand...

Needless to say I order some 6.5" pads for waxing!

If you want to get a good basic set of pads and compounds I would recommend the Menzerna Complete Kit and a 5 pack 5.5" Uber pads, 1 orange, 1 green, 1 blue, 2 black... I like to have two waxing pads, I usually do a pre-cleaner wax followed up by a standard liquid wax...

If you want to have a real aggressive pad for some really bad marks, you could get a yellow too... But Orange with Menzerna PS34A usually more then enough.
