Default Pads for PC 7424

Since my car was painted after the wreck, it has been getting pretty bad with cobwebs and fine scratches everywhere. I still have to wait another 20 days (2 months for paint to cure).

I plan on buying a PC to a.)get those scratches out because it is hard to do by hand, and b.) make it easier on me, cause 3+ layers of zaino by hand hurts.

I will probably do two layers of Z-5 then a layer of Z-2, all by machine.

I understand (after reading some previous threads) how to operate a PC, but I am confused as to what type of pads to buy. I am guessing I will need at least 2 pads for the fine scratches and one for polishing? Could someone be REALLY friendly and maybe link some that would be good?

And then the big question. If you know about my s2k, I have two red stripe decals running down the front quarters, doors, and rear. Will the PC rub this decal off?

Thanks in advance!

we need to talk...

zaino calls itsself a polish, but its not
its really a synthetic protectant (and a very fine one)- the swirl removers in z5 are mainly swirl fillers. not bad things, but not really swirl removers. zaino even admits this...

we need to get you a real swirl remover so you can get those bad boys off the car...
and we need to get you some lessons on how to.
(i assume that you have not done a swirl removal before?)

hey, btw- with fresh paint there are safe products -

like some glazes. 3m makes one for light colored cars. if you are interested, i can track it down.

anyone on this board from indiana to help out this good fellow?

(best way to find someone to help is to post up on your local forum and offer to supply refreshments)

no one machines around here on the local forums, all by hand. I personally know one other person in our town of 300k (Evansville) who drives an S. There are probably about 15 of them total, haha.

ANY info you can throw my way would be awesome.

EDIT: man i cannot spell tonight
