Here's what I did...

Amazon.com has (had?) a deal where you get $30 off your first purchase with your new Amazon VISA card. You had to apply online and get aproved by the bank...I can't remember who it was though. I got a CD for mom and a brand new PC for about $100.00.

Cancel the card
Yeah. I already used that deal to buy my Brinkmann Dual Xenon light (a/k/a the swirl finder).

You guys suck. I ran to our lowes today all excited and it was at the regular price of $130.99. Yikes.

I guess you didn't see the post where I suggested you call first to confirm the price. The sale doesn't seem to be quite everywhere yet.

Anyway, as someone already suggested you can apply for an Amazon.com credit card and get the PC through them for $30 off.

Yeah I caught the thread on my way to that part of town. It was a right off the freeway so no time lost really. I was just a little shocked to find it marked up that high. No wonder they had almost 10 left.

I used the amazon card when I bought my 2g nano. I had 3 25 dollar coupons for amazon and applied for the card. ended up getting the 8gb model for the price of the 2 gb shipped.

Why would you not buy one off of ebay for $80? Is there a mail-in warranty card that Porter Cable requires with a receipt or anything? I can get one $95 shipped on there. Just asking because I have been looking for one of these a while. Thanks!

Buying something off E-bay is always an option. However, when you buy something off of E-bay you assume a great deal more risk in the transaction. I think a lot of people are uncomfortable with that.

I still can't bring myself to buy something off of e-bay. Especially when there are two or three other options for a good deal.

Because most people don't want to ship to hawaii and when they do, they qoute something outrageous for the shipping fee.

I got mine on clearance at lowes last year too. I can't remember how much I paid though. May have been similar in price.
