Plastic Cleaner liquid on soft top
Hey guys..
I was trying out this plexiglass and plastic cleaner for my plastic window and when i opened the cap, it splatted a little bit on the driver rear side of the soft top leaving quite a few number of dots.
I've tried to wash it off numerous times without much success and it seems like it settled in.
Can you guys suggest what I can use to remove it off because it irks the hell outta me. Thanks guys!!

we are interested to find out if your problem is solved by this (it should be, but if not we can come up with other more aggressive ideas)
hey so I washed my car and tried the Vinylex. Wetted the top, srapyed that stuff, scrubbed it for a bit and rinsed out.. all the crap is gone. This stuff works very well and not to mention my top looks alot cleaner than using just the regular car wash soap.
Thanks wannabe! You the man!

OK wannabe how about this, I was polishing my car with the PC and some of it flung(is that a word?) onto my soft top. I tried 303 and nada. I tried scrubbing...nada. I am out of ideas for getting it off. BTW it's Meguires speed glaze. YES I already know I should have covered the top with plastic but it's too damn late now. TIA

your problem isnt gonna be that easy to fix. i am always careful not to spread product with the pc so im gonna have to do some research-
have some ideas, but want to check into this and will post back.
i do know that if you scrub too hard on a polish on vinyl you can cause problems, so i hope you havent done that yet!

o.k.- here is what i would try:
some noncrunchy peanut butter and sometimes margarine or butter will also work. we use this to get tar off of vinyl, so i am thinking it would work for your polish too.
you might also try this with a little dawn dishsoap.
btw, if you microwave the pbutter first then apply it with a toothbrush, i find it works better. rub it into a small area and let it sit for awhile before carefully removing it.
as with any unusual cleaning technique, be sure to try it on a very small area first. if it works, then do the rest (small sections at a time).
another product that might work i think (from posts by petraidm) is roll-off. i have not tried it, but it looks like a good potential solution.

after any of the above you will need to put a good layer of protection back on the car with a good vinyl protectant- 303, vinylex, or raggtopp.
post back how it goes!
