The old side by side tape trick. Actually you can see where the wool crossed over the tape and started to buff a little on the other side

Dear God Ray (The owner) leave the brillo pad for your pots and pans

Much improvement

A little outside show off at dusk. The only time I really ever want to own another black car.

A little show off under the lights. Yes the windows are dirty, I don't do windows

BYW, there is NO wax or sealant on that paint yet. So for all of you seeking the ultimate LSP, the shine is in the polishing.

Anyway, it's not perfect but it looks 1000% better. There are some swirls and scratches that simply need to be wet sanded and compounded. Some things will just never come out no matter what because they are flaws from a partial repaint. This took about 8 hours.

Enough already with the brillo pad crap. You know the paint looked like that when I bought it last year. The car looks awesome. I told you after I spent 3 hours on the hood with the 3m polish and the PC it would take the rotary. Looks great. Can't wait to see it when I get back. You should at least drive the thing.

Your results look very nice... I've always been a firm believer that a good shine comes mostly from good prep work, and you've proved that with those pics

Fo sho shine is all in the prep work! 17 layers of zaino won't do jack if the finish is swirled and marred.

I wish a day to detail the s2k top to bottom. Now I only have time for Coin-op car washes =(

But at least I can maintain that shine by bringing my own sponge and soap. High pressure rinse, manual soap with MF sponge, spot free rinse.
