Well, I got it and put two coats on my S on the first decent day (weather-wise) of '04.
Verdict: fantastic. Goes on easily, wipes off easily, excellent shine, good depth (as much as I think is possible on a Suzuka), and water definitely beads.
It's expensive; the finish is great but the "value" of NXT will be proven by its durability IMO.
The wax ran $15 for the same size bottle that, say, Gold Class comes in.`
I've had the stuff for a few weeks now and put two coats on the S last weekend. I must say this stuff is very nice. Easy application and removal. The shine is fantastic. I have pictures of the car after the application, but I haven't uploaded them yet. I will sometime this week. It rained here for about 3 days last week. After all that rain, I washed the car today and the paint is still really smooth and shiney. Water beads up on it like it was just waxed. Considering Zymol is about the same price, this stuff blows it away. Smells good too!
I went outside and added a third coat while the sun was still up. It was quick and the car looks great. I'll take and post some pics tomorrow. I'm looking forward to some top-down driving. The rims, sadly, are a bit harder to clean. I'm contemplating giving them a good scrubbing tomorrow, then maybe waxing them? I wonder if I can use NXT?
What is the value of additional coats? I'm sure there's a point of diminishing returns, as with many things, where is that point with waxes? Putting a coat on while the car is clean, is quick and easy. I could put on two more coats tomorrow morning w/o any huge effort. Would there be a tangible benefit to doing so, or am I just wasting time & wax?
I bought some and love it. Think Zaino, but cheaper, easier to apply and readily more accesible. I absolutely love this stuff. I have always thought that Zaino was OVERRATED.
It was a pain to apply...so many steps, mixing, throwing away the rest mixed with ZFX, cleaning the bottles out, having to apply it within a certain time frame....not fun.
This NXT stuff is great. Putting on a second coat, although I haven't noticed a difference (since I put it on right after the first coat probably) was alot easier and smoother. The foam applicator just glided on the surface...
Anyone notice whether the NXT is a dust magnet or not?
Well it's polen season here, which is killing me in more ways than one (allergies and the car), so I can't tell if it's a dust magnet. I can wipe the car down and an hour later there's a layer of yellow powder all over it. I hate Spring.
Yep..same results as my Berlina NSX. pretty sweet, huh?
I think your right about the pollen thing...I was driving around an area with lots of various plant life. But when I avoided those areas, the dust seemed to have "lessened" (sp?).
This car was NXT'd once exactly a month ago and washed 3 times. I use a CA Blade, Absorber, micro fiber towel to dry. Nothing else done to the car as I wanted to test NXT's qualities.
For the price and availability, this can't be beat. Walmart has it dirt cheap (no pun intended)!
