Wink Pristine Auto: 2003 Berlina Black S2000

Hey guys-

Did some work on a members '03 Berlina S2000 today. He was looking for someone who did good work, but also wanted to be taught some things so he can better do the work himself for times to come. I was more than willing to oblige, and had a great time doing it. So Wanabe, youll likely have to make a fresh batch of wacko badges to be ready before too long. Anyways, like I said this was a complete paint recondition. It's an '03 with ~66,000 miles and to the best of his and my knowledge, never been detailed. There were tons of swirls, scratches, marring, etc. all of which needed to be corrected, and was.

Products used:
Poorboy's SSR2.5 w/ CCS yellow
Poorboy's SSR1.0 w/CCS Orange
Menzerna 106FF w/ CCS Orange and white
Meguiars NXT w/ CCS Black
Lusso Oro by hand massage
Detailers Domain blue MF towels
CD2 Engine Detailer
Meguiars NXT Extreme Tire Shine
Meguiars Gold Class Car Shampoo
etc.

Before pictures:

After using SSR2.5 on the left

Engine bay:

No swirls anymore!!!!

Massaging the Lusso Oro by hand:

And the after shots:

now thats an example of the purpose of detailing!!

you took an "oldy and moldy" car and made it brand new- from a car with dead paint to one that could be a show car...
and you know that i love the hand rubbed lusso oro!!

how were your hands after the job? how long did the finger rubbing take?

again, great job!

(and, at your request, a coupla badges are set aside for your "trainees")

Awesome results on that car. Was the owner a good "student"?
I agree about bringing that paint back from the dead.

He was a really good student. Real inquisitive and really liked helping out. I didnt mind him being there one bit. Heck, it kept me from talking to the car.

Thanks for the kind words Matt. And as far as talking to the car...I have a bad tendency of doing that myself.

The one with me ruined the picture of the car

Next detail will be all me, with Matt's supervision (I hope).

And thanks for letting me help you out Matt.
