Default Problem with NXT??

So I wanted to see what all the hype was about and i went and bought a bottle of Meguairs NXT wax. I washed and dryed the car as i always do. I use Eagle One car wash, and i use the cali wiper blade and absorber to finish off the drying once I pull it into the garage. Once the car was fully dry, I applied a thin coat of NXT to the trunk only since I wanted to see how hard it would be and if I had enough time to do the whole car. Went on super easy, I let it dry (waited 15 mins). I then removed it with a 100% cotton towl. It came off very easy! In the garage it looked amazing. But when i pulled the car out of the garage i could see like streaks. Like the car was still "wet" in some areas. I found that disturbing, i didnt do anything and went off to the local thursday night meet. When i got there, i heard that the paint was so dry that it soaked in the oil from the wax, and that i should just go over it again. Which i did, and its still the same result. Im really confused, Flitcroft, wannabe? Any help would be appreicated.

Thanking in advance,

Daman

daman... your choices:

1. remove it and do it again- not what i would do first though! to do this, you would wash the car and just nxt it again.

2. wash it then take it out in the sun (this is what i would do with carnuba) and let it warm up a little. then buff it down again.

3. my first choice- dust it and then use a detailers spray on it. buff it out. this has a good chance of working... if it doesnt then try the above

(sorry about posting in reverse order!)

Im gonna use my cali duster, and try the meguiars detailer spray.

Now for step 2 in case 3 shouldnt work, should i wash the car dry it in the garage, wax it and then take it back out in the sun? How long should i keep it in the sunlight?

Thanks for the help Wanabe!!!! One of the few mods i like

Cool, thanks.

What do you think the cause of the streaking was? Was the paint dry, oil suck theory correct?

Thats very disapointing, since i like the product, the ease of putting it on, the ease of removal, the shine, the price, and lastly the SMELL!!!

Just out of curiousity, did you apply the NXT directly to the car and then wipe it around or applied to the sponge and wiped from there?

If you did put it on the sponge first, are the streaks you describe the size of what you would have maybe had on your sponge?
