Default Problem w/Meguire's NXT

I've been using NXT now for the last few months, and overall I've been pretty happy with my results. The one thing that I have noticed about it though, that I don't like, is the swirls that I see after I've taken it off. Keep in mind that I apply and remove NXT by hand. Now I'm not talking about the type of swirl marks you see in your clear coat. It basically looks like all of the wax isn't coming completely off, and I have to rub extraordinarily hard in order to get it all off, and even then I can still see a haze at most angles after I'm finished buffing. It's driving me crazy! I'm assuming that I have to be doing something wrong, but I have no clue what. Any suggestions?

THANKS!

Brian

i don't seem to have this problem, but maybe some detailing spray could help? as long as it doesn't take the wax off. I know that eagle one nanowax, although seems to be AWESOME, does what you are describing.

I had the same problem w/ my Berlina when applying NXT. I noticed that if I sprayed Quick Detailer on the spots I saw the haze and leftover wax it would solve the problem. I do think the problem stems from either applying too much wax or not letting it dry fully.

Hope this helps.

A friend of mine had the same problem. He was applying it way to thick.

You're better off doing two thin coats than one thick coat.

Definately too much product. You only need enought to create a haze when you put it on. It should be super easy to take off, and make sure you are letting it sit there for 15 min or so (preferrably out of the sunshine) so it can "cure".

I had the same problem on my beater car, I did with NXT. 3 months later and it still has hazzy swirls on it from the NXT. I'm going to have to strip the entire car down with Klasse AIO now... darn

to get rid of the swirls you need to apply a glaze to the the swirls.....either show car glaze by meguiars or 3m imperial hand glaze will do the trick,.....so wash+ dry, clay bar if required, then glaze, then nxt.

if youre a mad fanatic ...then:

1st * #83 Dual Action Cleaner Polish (DACP)
2nd * #80 pro Speed Glaze (swirl remover) mirror glaze range
3rd * #81 professional Hand Polish
4th * NXT Tech Wax
5th * #26 high tech yellow wax , mirror glaze range

hope that helps!

Wouldn't "Swirl Mark Remover" like 3M's product be better than the "hand glaze" for removing swirls ???
