Default Products for GPW

Ok, so i've had a white car before, but i never got into the detailing game with it. However, after getting a black saleen, then i became really anal about how it looked. Now that I have a GPW s2k, i want to take care of it as well. So my question is, what are you GPW guys using on the paint? Have any pics as well? I know there is a product review sticky, but it isn't color specific.

good question... not a white owner, but can tell you that its pretty much the same as your black car-
the only diff i can think of is maybe claying a bit more often... for rear end stains
(actually am replying to move this back up)

I had a white car before (nonS2K) and used whatever products that I liked. Color doesn't make enough difference to have companies make that much color specific items. White is like black, and will show everything more. So keep it clean, and protected

On a black car, if something gets dirty, you can tell fast.

On a white car, it seems as though everything gets dirty evenly, so the car still looks pretty clean, until someone takes a swipe with their fingers .

As already echoed on here, 99% of products are not color specific. Any quality polishes, sealants, and waxes will do the job just fine.

I suppose a side benefit of GPW is that you don't have as many edges to tape off when polishing?

well, i guess i'll be using the same supplies that i used for my saleen. I think i've spent about $500 just for car detail, excluding the PC lol.

I use Wolfgang sealant on my GPW, it looks great IMO. Claying will be necessary more often, I would bet that it needs it BADLY right now.

GPW paint is prone to oxidising, the dead paint staining easily. I have worked on two GPW's both needed cutting then polishing. Once done good paint food like HD Cleanse then finished off with wax such as Zymol Destiny.

Overall keep topping up with wax or go the Sealant route and use a good few layers of Zaino.
