Default proffesional color sand

01 ap1 jet black Just got it painted was keyed ins paid but still has alot of orange peel any one know how to do a proffesional color sand from 800 grit to mabey a 2000 grit and a proffesional buff with like a dewalt ?

where you located? and 800 is way to harsh, id start with 1500 or even 2000 wet and see if that works and move up from there.

Was it not clear coated?. Im under the assumption you wont be able to get the orange peel off if its clear coated.

only true if the peel is in the base coat...which more than likely its not.

but if its the clear, you can get rid of it with ease.

800 is not too coarse, 800 1000 1200 is pretty much on the money.

800 for bigger blemish, clean it up with 50/50 alcohol water mix, move on to lighter grit. when you went thru 1200 you can pretty much can hit it with 3m grey foam pad with superduty.

the only thing you can screw up is by skipping gird, leaving dirty spec/grit on the surface and not having a DA/PC =P
