Yeah, one of my friends who works at the car wash section at a car dealer, gave me this new purple clay bar. I don't know what brand it is, so I wouldn't know if it's an aggressive or medium cut. I don't want to cut too much into my paint when using it, so would anybody know any brand that would make their clay bar purple? Thanks.

 

it is heavy cut clay, 200gram clay. saw this: Excellent for removing primer and airborne paint overspray. May not be suitable for black and dark color cars as it may streak. Contains no silicone and is non-toxic. on this site... http://www.3dproducts.com/index.asp?PageAc...PROD&ProdID=286
that is some crazy clay for close to $30!

 

I used it on one section of my car (which is kinda new btw, '07 Yaris, will get S2k later) and kinda dug into the wax and polish and created some light swirls. Kinda pissed now...Oh well, thanks for the heads up!

 

Sounds like it was either medium or aggressive (some medium clays will marr the paint). However, you can't judge brand of clay based solely on color. For instance both Pinnacle and Sonus make clay that is green. They both happen to be ultra-fine but that's just coincidence.
