Default rail dust?

I was giving my new S2K a thorough waxing the other day and noticed a gritty feeling all over the front bumper, so I hit it with a claybar (which solved the problem). The surface of the claybar was reddish-brown after each pass so I kept folding it over to expose new clay. Was this the infamous rail dust I have heard about? Interestingly, it was only on the front bumper (plastic) and headlights. For whatever reason, the rest of the car was fine. I imagine this might have something to do with where the protective film was placed on the car, and how the car was loaded for transport.

Yes yes yes! I had it all over my GPW even when we bought it with 4 miles on the ODO. Looks like a red flake in the paint!
