Default rear window in crappy shape

I got my car used, and the rear window's pretty scratched up. I've tried Meguairs Plastic X with less than desirable results. Does Meguairs No 10 and No. 17 work very well? Does anyone know how I could go about swapping rear windows. I know that when I get a new one I need to put on static tint and get a muz mat...

How much would a new window cost?

i wonder how much it would cost to replace the top with a new one (glass window) vs. replacing the plastic window. would be more expensive, but might be worth it...

I've thought about that as well. Anybody have any idea how much this would cost vs. what a new rear window would cost?

I would talk to a local convertible top shop and see what they say. If you need a recommendation, talk to your insurance agent or the dealer.

Check out the S2Ki Library. There is a lot of good info there.

Here's a link to a vinyl window care article.
