Default Recommend Me Carpet/Upholstery Cleaner

I am looking for some good carpet/upholstery cleaner. I have tried stoner's, resolve, and something my wife had that was in a can with the brush attached to the top. I just bought some folex to try, but haven't gotten around to try it yet. Can folex be used for large areas like carpet, or is it just meant for spot cleaning?

There are no coffe or oil stains, just ground in dirt etc. from being a daily driver.
The car is an 05 civic with the grey interior.

Also some tips on the best ways to perform the procedure would be greatly appreciated.

I've had good results with 303.

I took out my interior carpet and put it in the living room and used the steam cleaner. Made it a little easier to get all the little corners. Probably won't do that again for a while though.

I personally haven't had any experience with it, however I hear that Folex is really good.

For general cleaning I use 303 APC diluted about 30:1 with good results. For spot cleaning Meg's Quik Out has worked well for me.

For general cleaning I'll mist the APC on the fabric, let set a bit, then scrub with a brush. After that I use a wet/dry vac.

Woolite diluted 1:10 minimum and an extractor works well. Can be pretty suds-y though.

I've used diluted Megs APC with good results too.

^^

I actually had a bottle of gear oil leak in my trunk and down into the tool well. It took me multiple cleanings to get it out (obviously because it's oil).

The nice thing is that the trunk liner is corrograted plastic, so it's basically waterproof. Have to be careful not to get too aggressive or the felt glue will come undone.

I filled the well with APC and sprayed water right into it (very carefully as to not get into the seams of the other liner pieces) and then scrubbed lightly with my fingertips before shop-vaccing out and then extracting as best I could with my LGCM.

Lather, rinse, repeat.

First I'd try a good cleaning with one of the cleaners mentioned. If there's still odor you may want to try something like this: http://www.duragloss.com/product.asp?pid=305

I haven't tried it myself, simply because I haven't really had a need for it, as cleaning with APCs has done the trick so far for me. But all of the DG products I've tried have worked well, so you may want to give it a try.
