Default Removing super glue?

I was putting some super glue in a trim piece that was loose, and later noticed that a few drops had fallen on the paint and a piece of the rubber trim around the front windshield--unforunately it was too late and it had dried by the time I noticed it!
I tried taking it off both the paint and trim w/ goof off and a microfiber towel, but it didn't seem to do anything. I'm not wanting to try anything else yet in fear of doing more damage than good by possibly screwing up the paint even worse, so thought I'd post to see if anyone has any ideas for getting it off?
Any help appreciated!!

Acetone works for removing superglue very very slowly, and is one of the only things that probably would. Not sure how it would react to the paint though....

Try a clay bar and lubricant first and if that doesn't work try dabbing the areas with acetone and gently wiping the area.

Go to a hobby shop and buy some CA (superglue) debonder.

I build and fly RC airplanes and helicopters and have many years of experience gluing things to other things that should be

The debonder is a solvent that will dissolve the superglue. Try on a hidden part of the rubber trim of course to see if it will cause any damage.

I glued my self... to myself. Gotta love American Pie!

Thanks for the information so far!
I'm a little hesitant to use acetone on the paint and clear coat w/ worry that it'll haze the finish. Anyone know of any products that would be safe for the paint surface?
Also, where can acetone be purchased if that would be safe for the paint?

Another option is 3M General Purpose Adhesive Remover. Wonderful stuff this. Some auto parts stores keep it in stock; or, you can order it from an auto body shop supply store (the kind of store that mixes paint). I've never tried it on super glue, but I promise you that it's paint safe. Compared to this stuff, Goo Gone and WD-40 may as well be straight water.

Acetone is safe, so long as you don't leave it on there for a long time, or scrub aggressively with it. You can also try auto body solvent - I think Meguiar's makes one. The one I use is made locally and can't be shipped, so I can't recommend that directly.

Mine isn't in an aerosol can; it's in a larger, metal can with a small spout on it, sort of like you might see turpentine in. I won't swear to it, but my guess is that they're the same product.

I purchased the 3M adhesive remover for automobile finishes in the car care section of Wal-Mart yesterday, and tried it out on the super glue that was on the paint, and it took it off pretty well! I had to use a number of coats, but it eventually removed it!

I used acetone when I shaved the S2000 logos on the fenders. Didn't harm the paint at all.
