Default renew

recently had my hood scratch and small dent fixed on my hood. The difference between my hood now and the rest of the car is apparent. I would like to bring the rest of the car back to pristine luster if I can. - I have used porter cable buffer to wax my car since I got it new but only wax - I wonder what application I can apply to bring out the original luster for the whole S. Should I go with the yellow pad, or use a different liquid or what? Otherwise my car is in great shape when you feel the finish with your hand after waxing.

assume that you dont mean that the color is diff?
detailers dont usually deal with color change except to get rid of hazing.

since it feels good, it doesnt need clay.
what kind of swirls/scractches do you have on the car? would you say light, medium or heavy?

you need to polish the car, but we need more info to help decide which polish/ pad combo to use.

thank you - sorry I was not more clear
everything is perfect except that the hood has a new luster and the rest of the car is a tiny bit off - so I thought I would do something besides the usual Meq. wax that I usually do to bring out a newer shine - otherwise the car has no scratches, no mismatches of color

the difference between the newly fixed hood and the rest of the car is only subtle in terms of luster

so basically I have been waxing with porter cable random and microcloths buffing since I got it 55,000 miles ago and otherwise kept in the garage and want to renew the finish a bit

to renew i would use a paint cleaner...
it is a type of polish that will get rid of any hazing on the car. any light polish is actually a good choice.

use it with your pc- but its diff from wax- you gotta work the stuff. spend some time in our how tos. i like the videos, and there is other good info too.
check it out and post back questions- we are here to help!

if you have been using the pc for wax you already have "machine feel" so the polishing will not be an unusual experience for you.

let me check with our sponsor (detailersdomain.com = phil ) to see what his fav light polish is- if you order from him, be sure to ask for our discount...

You can go for Menzerna PO85RD for a fine polish that will remove small imperfections and give you the most incredible finish.

a finishing or polishing pad would be best.
