S2k has the softest paint
I spend 6 hours detailing my black S 3 weeks ago
1- Fairy liquid wash to remove all the wax/road grime
2- Megs claybar
3- Machine polished the whole car using menzerna final finish
4- Applied 2 coats of Natty blue wax--Loving that bubblegum smell
5- Megs Ultimate detailer for a final wipe down
Car looked stunning!
Ive washed the car twice since,2 bucket method, dried using microfibres and then megs ultimate detailer again as final stage.
Just washed the car again today and when the sun came out noticed the car was covered in swirls again. I am always very careful when washing the car using lambswool mitts etc and drying it with clean microfibres etc so how on earth has it got so swirly in just 3 weeks?
I think i'm chasing my ass with a black car trying to eliminate swirls. Is the paint really this soft or are the swirls in the wax coating?

Invest in some IPA (isopropyl alcohol) because I'd bet big money the Menzerna Final Finish filled the swirls.
Basically what the IPA solution (about 50/50 or 70/30 is good) will do is remove the polishing oils left behind that aid in lubricating the polish while it's being worked in. Also, if using a PC expect about 7 minutes working time with Final Finish, so you may have not broken it down all the way.
Another thing, if you wash your car once a week, you WILL swirl it up. I suggest investing in a Foam cannon and pressure washer. It becomes a "touchless wash" once a week. Pressure rinse, foam, pressure rinse again, and if it's freshly waxed and kept up (like your stating you do) then there will be no need for the wash buckets and mitts. Then just blow it try, and blot any remaining water. Take a little longer, but beats having swirls!!
