Angry Sad Day....

So I really need to wash my car..... But its like.... 36 out... and it has road salt on it... so I'm taking it to a car wash !!!! I'm not gunna use the brush though, I know better... My baby needs a cleaning though. I plan on doing a full detail soon anyways, and it has only been washed at a car wash once before this, atleast since I've owned it.... So I'm willing to take the risk... but i'm gunna put a coat of wax on it afterwards....

Wish my luck. Thanks for always being there my support group....

car wash during winter should be using warm water...at least the ones by my house do so it should wipe that salt right off. bring your own wash mitt and wash it! i have done that before and just used the soap that comes out of the car wash. good luck

The one on my way home from work has heated water. I just rinse at low pressure, soap it up, wash with the mitt, rinse and then pull out of the bay (if it's busy) and dry and sometimes wax right there in the parking area near the vacuums.

LOL!!! Don't feel too bad. I had my Prelude fully repainted. I spent $2000. Then when came to pick it up there were cat foot marks EVERYWHERE on brand new paint and he was sleeping on my roof.

Wait till it is warm bro, detail it then. Im going thru the same crappy winter weather as you are.

as someone already said... just bring your own washmit.
You could probably use their stone filled brush for as much of the wheel wells and undercarriage as you can get. Even your rims if you aren't that anal about them.

then fresh water to rinse. I would take it on a day when the roads are dry though so you don't get it all dirty again instantly.

The problem is, all the car washes here have "No bucket washing or hand washing" signs... so I just rinsed it off, and used the spray wash, and then somewhat dried it, but it was too cold... I said **** it. It's supposed to be 40's next week.. I'll do it then
