Default Self-healing paint

Codeveloped by Nissan and Nippon Paint, this new technology consists of a highly elastic self-healing, scratch-resistant resin that is applied to the paint and, depending on temperature and scratch depth, can repair itself within a week.

Has anyone heard about this? I wonder how this works

Last year in my autobody class we had a lecture on new technology that may be put inside your paint.. They talked about using nano technology inside paint so it can repair itself..

I really didn't think that something like that would be happening so soon. Its probully not nano technology but still if they really have a self repair paint, that is awsome.
