Default Side Emblem Removal

Well, after nearly an hour of trying to get all the adhesive off, I finally removed my side emblems and all that went with them.

After, I noticed a slight roughness around the edges of where they used to be. The paint beneath them is a high gloss but the remnants of the emblems is still there.

How would I get rid of these? Perhaps a wet sanding? I don't think a Clay Bar and detail would remove this.

Here is a picture, in case my explanation wasn't on par:

This is good news. I suppose since it won't be as hard as I thought, I will wait until I get my PC in.

Goo Gone or any good adhesive remover should take off the remaining remnant without affecting the paint.

even after using goo gone, i still had to use a bit of paint cleaner to get the fine lines out.

I tried using Goo Gone and it only removed the adhesive; which was all gone anyway.

It's almost like the remnants are raised. When I run my finger across them, I can easily feel a high spot.

ya same with mine. if u have to get more aggressive then use scratch-x or similiar, you shouldnt have to go as harsh as a rubbing compound even on 04.

I'm going to be helping my friend detail his Girlfriend's car today and he said I could clay bar my car while we are at it.

If I clay my car, do I need to put a coat of wax on or anything to protect the newly exposed clear coat or can I just clay and wash?

removed mine with goo gone and a heat gun, wax it with a clay bar, and then you're golden
