Snow Foam Mixture
Hi Guys,
I just wanted to find out what kind of mixture people are using for snow foam.
I've seen some with simple green and other degreasers.
I was hoping to use the foam as part of my weekly cleaning routine and want to make sure I am not stripping wax.

Snow foam is not available in the US, http://www.elitecarcare.co.uk/elite-snow-f...5d7c67b01163e4f
Now if you want to use a foam gun or canon for maintenance washes, then I would use something like 1z Perls. Realize a soap like this is not going to create much foam.

"Snow foam" is an actual product available in the UK, thats what I am referring to. You can use a number of soaps through a foam cannon to get results like that. CG Citrus Clear being a popular one. But for maintenance washes, 1z Perls is great. I have a foam gun and foam cannon.

so far i've tried meg's hyper wash, Duragloss 901 and some EO wax/wash with my cannon and have found Hyperwash gives the best foam and it's a great value as it's only $25.00 a gallon

ok dan I think the OP is asking which mixture to use to create foam though his lance (ie cannon)..
but here's where i'm confused by your first statement of you say use
" I would use something like 1z Glanz. Realize a soap like this is not going to create much foam. "
and then you say
"You can use a number of soaps through a foam cannon to get results like that. "
i am saying any decent soap such as Hyperwash (3 ounces + warm water) will give you shaving cream foam with a lance / cannon and a power washer

I know exactly what he is asking. But I wanted to let him know that there is an actual product called snow foam.
Im not sure why you are getting confused? Just because a soap produces a lot of suds does not mean its a quality soap. Slickness and cleaning/ rinsing ability are more important than suds. 1z Perls, Megs NXT, Megs Gold Class, PB SS&W, Prima Mystique, Lusso Auto Bathe- all do not produce a ton of suds (like in your video), but are high quality soaps.
On the other hand, there are a bunch of soaps that do produce suds like your video- CG makes a bunch that will do that, DP Xtreme, Megs has a few that will do that, the list goes on.
The reason I recommended 1z Perls is because it provides good slickness, rinses easily, and leaves a little something behind. Its not a STRONG soap by any means, which makes it perfect for a maintenance soap. Its not going to produce suds like your video, but thats last on the list of important things to consider in a soap.
Does that make sense?
