Alright so I have about an 1 1/2 inch long tear in my soft top. I just picked up this "mighty mend it" stuff. I usually wouldn't go with this Billy Mays as seen on t.v. type of product but I just saw it in the store and thought this might actually work. It says its for "split seam repairs". My question is would this hurt to try? Or would I be better off not bothering

 

Never used “mighty mend it” or repaired a rip in a soft top.
Having said that:
If the pocket of a pair of jeans were ripped, I’d give it at try.
A tear in my s2k’s top…………no.
Really don’t trust anything sold through infomercials and I’d be worried about causing more damage.

well I decided to give it a shot and it sealed up the little frayed fabric that was available so I'd say it was a success
