Default SONAX wheel cleaner

So, i've seen this stuff reviewed by a sponser but I wanted to see what it would do and if it was as easy as they said it was. I auto-x my car and have some pretty aggressive brake pads that dust up quickly and get muddy and cake on the spoke with the slightest of moisture.

Onto the pictures.

Here you can see the wheels are pretty dirty and if you look close you can see some caking in the pit of the spoke.

Here you can see the SONAX really attacking the dust and going after it.

This is that same wheel after some mild scrubbing with a wheel brush and a high power rinse with my fire hose attachment.

This is another wheel that has some caking of brake dust. If you look close you can see that I wiped the area with my finger to get everything off but the caked on dust.

This is that same spot after application of SONAX and some aggitation with a brush.

Here you can see that it went after my brake calipers and with NO SCRUBBING this is what they looked like. I can tell that I'm going to have to get the car on jack stands and take the wheels off and go after them with a brush and some SONAX and they should look good as new.

So as you can see this stuff does work and they aren't just blowing sun up our rear end. Aboslutly amazing.

Awesome pics, i might try to document one wheels too. One of my cars has a crapload of brake dust on it but the wheels are gunmetal so i dont know exactly how much haha! we'll see how red it goes.

I just bought a few bottles of this stuff the other day but my ones are all clear and then they go red!!

Are yours green too? Maybe they made a dumbed down one for australia thanks to some silly regulation or something i'm not sure.

Think they'll work on this?

Washed my car about 4 days after the track day, and now the center part is caked in...
I washed normally, with just soap & water...

Where can I buy SONAX?

Mine was green when it first came out, but it instantly turned red. Not sure about your laws regarding chems.

I dont see why it wouldnt work, your best bet would be to take the wheels off and that way you can really get after it. The trick is to let it sit for a minute or two and them use a stiff bristled brush and the dust will just dissapear.

I got mine from SoCalShopGuy.com, I called and talked to Abe. You can also get it from DetailersDomain.com which is the form sponser but I didn't want to wait for it to come from the east coast and SoCal is out of Chatsworth so I got it in 2 days.

The dirtier your wheels are, the more you need to give Sonax at least 4-5 minutes to thoroughly work it's magic. Glenn6one9, try Sonax on those wheels and see if your not more than satisfied.

Using my image without giving me credit!

I tried some random wheel cleaner from Kragen but it pretty much just got the loose dust off and didn't do much for the caked on little nuggets stuck in the pits of the spokes... so maybe I'll have to try some of this stuff as well.
