Default Spa Yellow AP1 vs. AP2 Rio Yellow Differences

I have not had the chance to park my car against an AP2 2004-05-06. Can someone tell me the difference between Spa Yellow and Rio Yellow?

The only time I saw a newer AP2 on the road, the colors looked pretty close.

Thanks in advance.

The newer yellow is darker with a lot of metallic flake and pearl.

Thanks very much. My car has more a pearl finish with much, much smaller metallic flakes.

It looks like there is some red thrown in there too.

The Spa Yellow seems to have a greenish hue in dim light and the metallic finish is more obvious at off angles.

This answers a lot of questions. One of them, not to buy one of the new hardtops because it won't match at all.

Exactly. Both are very nice colors.

Unhappy

More like distant siblings, than next of kin.
