try this product called "back to black" from chemical guys for plastic pieces. it all comes down to the small details

I used to do this all the time and that CD2 is the best stuff.
I recently moved to a new home and have been skeptical about how to dispose of the runoff.
Do you just let it go into the storm drains? or is there an alternative solution?
I just don't want to get the stink eye from the neighbors.

Well.. I just let it run down to the drain. Neighbors don't know what I'm doing anyways. But if you are really concerned, you can lay down a big piece of old bath towel underneath to soak the run off. And take it out when you rinse the engine bay and just let the bath towel air dry for next use

hey man, i have the same k&n intake. i just bought this car, i had a injen cold air in my 2000 ap1, dont really know much differnce. have you had any other intakes and do you like the k&n?

its known with just the intake mod its not going to net you a noticible change in hp. but throttle response is definitely improved. i had a gutted OEM air box before i bought the K&N. the whistling sound when accelerating is amazing i love it LOL.
