Should I wait 24hrs for my regular deodorant to cure before applying this?

There was actually some guy on Autopia who did this with some wax in his kitchen months ago. It was a great idea.

What all do you have to do? Get an empty deoderant and clean it, then melt some wax and pour in? Sounds like a good idea for some souveran!

That's exactly what this guy did on Autopia. He went down to the dollar store, bought some deoderant for $1, threw out the deoderant, cleaned out the container, melted some car wax, and poured it in. I think he put it in the fridge to cool for a day.

Personally, I wouldn't melt wax. The solvents which keep the wax soft and useable would likely evaporate to some degree due to the heat of melting the wax. If you insist on melting wax (and some people do this to combine waxes into new hybrid waxes) I would recommend you use a double boiler. This way the heat is at least indirect.
