Spider Web Crack
On my way back from WTD '08, a bird decided to fly in front of my car while I was cruising at about 80 mph. I didn't think anything of it until I arrived home and noticed a 4x4 inch spider web crack in my bumper. My buddy at the paint store says to play it safe, I should just repaint the whole thing. About $100.00 worth of paint.
I was thinking I could use some remover and get rid of the cracked area and then blend the rest. What do you guys think? What are the steps to preparing clear coat for re-application?
Thanks.

Agreed - I'd just paint the whole thing. If you're in a state that doesn't require front license plates, you can have them get rid of the front license plate holes while they're at it, which IMO looks great. This would of course also get rid of any rock chips and whatnot that you've got on the front of the car otherwise.
$100 is just for the paint. I would be doing the application. Don't worry, I painted the whole car after I rebuilt it. I am leaning toward that option as well. Thanks.
