Yes, I have the same type of backing plate for my 6.5" pads. I've also got one of this type on order to now use with these smaller pads.

There were NO instructions included with the kit to the best of my recollection. I ALWAYS read instructions. So if they were there I would have read them.

Lake Country advertises that their pads and hardware are innovative. Least they could do is pay for damage $$$. Then get you permission to print the indicident as proof of their product warranty. Something bad happens and we stand behind the product and the customer...., etc.
