Default start button cleaning

just noticed that the white lettering on the start button and emergency blinkers switch is starting to look not so white...
product ideas for cleaning these? i assume that i will use a brush (maybe even an old tooth brush)- but dont want to get product inside the electrical connections, so my guess is that i need something to apply to the brush first.
thoughts on this?
thx

lol...
mine hands are always clean (in the car) dude!
buttons must be showing some accumulations from over 3 years of driving-
strange that the emergency flasher button would show this too, since it is never used-
and prob only something that one of us perfectionists would notice...

interesting suggestion that i received:
mask the area around the buttons and use plexus-

nope, would never have thought of that!
was hoping for a "drier" solution so i dont have to mask...

A little simple green on a paper towel should do it. As long as you're not spraying product directly onto the button, you needn't be concerned with getting the electrical innards wet. It simple grime, and could probably be taken off without harsh scrubbing.
