Streaks with 303
I applied 303 to the top and it looked great. A few days later it rained and I got these streaks all over the rear window and the side windows. Its as if the 303 just ran off the roof. It keeps happening every time it rains. Should I dry the roof after applying the 303. Does anyone else have this problem?
Philly G,
i also use 303 protectant on my roof and never experieneced this problem. are you applying too much 303 on the top at the same time? what i do is go through it once lightly with the 303 protectant on a wax pad. then re-apply.. a total of about 3 coats. what i noticed is that the water beads on the top with the 303 on it. but dont have any streaking problems with my plastic rear window from the 303. are you able to take the streaks off from the window?

I applied one coat with a sponge. I did'nt think I put that much on. I guess I will try a little less on the sponge. The streaks do come off easily with a quick wash. It is just a pain.
I've been using the 303 since I got the car new, and the top looks better than new. I apply it quite heavily squirting it first onto a small piece of cotton towel, massage it in, let it set for a few minutes, and then take a dry towel and wipe it dry. Always wash the whole car first. And I use Plexus on the rear window. I've found that since I've been on this regimine, that months can go by with the top and window looking pristine and new.
