Default swirl marks ..!?!?!? WHAT SHOULD I DO

I have an 03 new formula red . My car is about 8 months old and i have noticed from washing it so much that there is some swirl marks. Is thier anything that i can do to get these marks out . I have tried swirl removers from companys like Mequiers etc... but none of them have worked. I have also used the reccommend towels and everything, NO dice. I am really at a lose right now for what to do. The car will not be driven til may 1st 2004 so i have some time to do some research and see if anyone else is expierencing the same problem as me. If anyone out there could shed some light on this topic maybe even with pics that would be great!!!!

I would suggest investing in Zaino, it's pricey, but does a great job. You can put on as many coats of Z5 as necessary to cover the swirl marks, and then top it with Z2 for an incredible shine.

Once you get the surface looking how you want, then make sure you are using a good quality car shampoo and 100% cotton towels (with banding removed) to wash the car. This will limit the amount of swirl marks you will get in the future!

Spend some time over at autopia.org. You have to decide if you want to hide them or remove them.

I'd tackle this with a Porter Cable Random Orbital Buffer, some cutting pads and DACP. Follow that up with a polish like Meg's swirl free. Then move on to your favorite protectant.

Here's a solution I employ.

Porter Cable - buy or rent one.
3M SMR or Meguiar's #9
Alcohol/H20 mix to remove the smr haze
Apply any polymer polish or carnuba wax.

great advice in the posts above-
my guess is that you tried to do the swirl removal by hand- very hard to do!
btw, z5 is a very good swirl cover, but 3m swirl remover is a swirl remover to eliminate them. i like the idea of trying to cover them until you get tired of covering them- then its time to remove them!
the pc is the right tool for the job and 3m is my fav product.

To remove swirls try a PC with the right pads and the Menzerna intensive polish and final polish from CMA. They are awsome preping paint to a baby butt smooth finish and not quite so many steps as Zaino.
