I'm not really sure but I wonder if the alcohol might be too harsh and cause the dash to "dry out". I guess I'd try a mild soap, be sure to rinse well after and then get a better protective coating on it right away.
What do others think?
Is 303 what you are going with?

I use all Lexol products (vinylex for the dash). Try the Lexol leather/plastic/vinyl cleaner. That should take the Armor All off.

I don't put anything on my dash, but if I did, I would apply 303.

For those of you who do add protectant to your dash, do you get a glare off the dash onto the windshield? When I 303 on the dash in my Prelude, I can barely see out when I am driving into the sun. At all other times I still have a nasty glare, just not as bad.

Here is my opinion for not adding anything to the dash. Modern car designers go through a great deal of effort to build a dash that does not glare onto the windshield. The dash has a matt finish for a reason. I also feel they put a lot of effort into a dash that will stand up againts UV degridation.
