Default Is there a way to remove scratches from a windshield?

Long story short, a stupid wiperblade fell apart during a downpour. Wife continued to drive with the wipers on (no choice obviously), it left a scratch mark across the windshield. Is there a way to get that out without having to replace the windshield?

Chip are you sure? That says that it will not remove scratches from glass.
