Top And Seals
Wolfsteins Raggtopp protectant for the top. I find it runs less than 303 or vinvlex after a rain plus it is recommended by Hartz.
Wannabe is correct:
- plexus for the rear window
-shinitsu grease for the seals
The top is definately vinyl; I had this confirmed by American Honda

Thanks for the answers.
Yes I agree after the posts and my own research the top is indeed vinyl.
Trust me I'm asking here because who better to know than the owners and enthusiasts.
I purchased some 303 tonight, you guys should have informed me I would need to pawn my daughter off first. ($12 for 16fl oz
)
Luckily my daughter and I both got out of the store together and w/ a bit of the wallet still intact.
Seeing as the previous owner obviously never cleaned the rear window (it was a lease, why would he) I had to put some muscle into it. Problem was it was like a smokers window, the more I cleaned it the more it smeared. So as per the Service Bulletin on the back window, I used metal polish. It wasn't Honda metal polish as suggested, but Never Dull which I saw suggested on this forum in 2 places. Only thing that scared me was that it does contain petroleum distillates, never the less I used it and bye, bye junk along w/ bye bye scratches. A little more muscle and some more 303 and it came out pretty good. Still some light streaking, but overall 100% better. I can actually see out the back now.
Thanks for the replies, and no worries about the dealership and trust, etc... I'm not new to cars, just new to the S2K.
