Is it true that the S2000 convert. top is not water proof?
I thought I read that somewhere...I could be totally wrong though...If it is not water proof then what do you use on it to water proof it? Thanks for the help!!
To make the top water-proof, you must put it UP.
But seriously folks ...
There is some debate whether our top is vinyl or cloth. Most seem to feel it's vinyl ... in which case you don't need to do anything to make it water proof.
For cloth / canvas tops though, a product needs to be applied every so often to maintain water repellency.
Have fun,
Derek

The top is more waterproof than a trash bag, rain coat, or asphalt roof! It is even more waterproof than your tires! It is also non-biodegradable. Put the whole car in a landfill and the top will outlast the body!
The debate is over. The top is vinyl.
Now, can we PLEASE fix the FAQ????

As everyone says, the roof is vinyl. Check out this link to the FAQ that shows Honda's recycling info on external plastic parts:
Convertible roof info
Quite a few board members do treat the roof but mainly to alieviate any potential UV weathering effects. Do a search and you should turn up the recommended products.
