Does anyone know if the edge pad vibration issues have been worked out on the UDM?
I'm still waiting to place my order, but want to be sure the problem is solved. Thanks in advance.

 

It's not just with the edge pads... its with any 6 inch pads.... The counter weight on it now is designed for 5 inch pads, and almost all pads are 6 inch... which they are making an update kit for... which I don't know if it has been released yet or not.

 

The Lakecounty 6" pads do not have an issue, nor do the pads that are sold with the UDM. It is mostly with the bigger and heavier pads such as the edge system.

The upgrade will not be free. it will be just that, an upgrade. Once they have developed the new counterweight, the UDM's will go up in price as well.

I'm actually very dissapointed in the way this whole situation went down.

I bought my UDM about a month ago w/ the edge system and high hopes. However, it vibrates so much that it's nearly impossible to do an entire car.

 

I have a UDM with Lake County pads, and it vibrates too... Edge pad's are the same size as Lake County pads.

And the upgrade is $50, or if you already don't have one, the new updated UDM is $199.99 instead of $149.99.

 

So do you have to specify if you want the updated one? That would seem really strange.

 

Edge pads are not the same size. The are double-sided therefore are twice as thick as the lake country pads.

The new UDM with the upgraded counterweight is not yet available nor is the upgrade to the existing machines.
