Thanks for everyone's help! I will try a dry application this time and see if that helps.

Unfortunately, you're not the only one experiencing this problem.

I always apply my 303 with a sponge. That seems to eliminate the "spots" caused from spraying directly on the surface. I wasn't a believer until I saw BEEATON's car. It keeps the interior and the convertible top look better than new.

Good info guys!
Here's another question for ya.
I didn't realize this today, but I saw that 303 makes a convertible top cleaner that is seperate from the one that I use for the interior...

Can I use the bottle on the right to clean the top as well? In another post, people were saying yes you can.
I never knew there was a convertible (vinyl) top specific cleaner by 303. I just thought they had that one cleaner.

The one on the right is the protectant. Clean the top with the one on the left then apply the one on the right. Make sure the top is clean before you use the protectant

So which looks better for the dash? Vinylex or 303? Which one is less shiny?

i use both-
neither is really shiny unless you apply several coats.
i think vinylex might go on a bit more even, but that might be cause the 303 is getting applied over vinylex in my car sometimes.

hmmm....cause when I applied the 303 to a cloth, then onto the dash, it looks shiny....I hate shiny interiors. I use Lexol on my seats, and they don't look shiny at all....does lexol provide any protection on vinyl too?
