Using gasoline to detail?!?!?!

Default Using gasoline to detail?!?!?!

went to a carwash today. The detailer sprayed some "stuff" onto my bumper where tar had accumilated. The tar just MELTED OFF!!!!! I asked the guy what he was using and he replyed gasoline!!!!! I was like and he was like According to him it doesnt affect the paint at all!!! What do you guys think? I really really worked, I actually smelled it to comfirm and yes it was gasoline!!!

Now you better wax or polish that bumper up because the gasoline took that off too.
If you use Zaino, Z1 is an excellent tar remover and since you have to re-polish anyway after the gasoline treatment, you may as well just remove the tar with Zaino to begin with and get a head start on putting the polish back on.

Maybe we can wash the entire car with gasoline before applying Zaino for the first time to remove the wax instead of Dawn????

WD-40 will do the same thing. I'd stay away from using gasoline
