My whole yard is full of trees which makes my driveway perfect for a shady wash spot. However, today nature decided to charge me for the great shade it had been providing. I was washing my car when all of a sudden I heard a loud bang like someone hit a golfball at my car. Just as I had feared, a large accorn fell out of a tree and put a nice dent right beside my hood. The dent is no problem I can have a paintless dent remover take that out but where it hit there is a circle of dullness and rings of what looks like hair line scratches around it. I tried clay and it did nothing. Any idea of what could restore the shine?
i would guess something like a swirl remover with a porter cable- also you might want to invest in one of those pop up tents - pasrk your car under the tent and let the tent take the brunt of the accorns
yup- i agree with bass that it sounds like you have a problem that polish is the solution for.
swirl removers are a type of polish. a paint cleaner is another type that might work. be sure to really work the polish (its not like a wax or other protective product that you just apply and remove), and work a fairly small area at a time.
there is some chance that you have small paint cracks... if so you will find out when you polish. if you still have them after the polish thats what they are -
