Default Washing the DD

I haven't wash my DD in 6 months, and its parked outside (garage is for the S and she gets a wash every week ^^). Its cover with alot of dirt. Any idea on how to clean it? i was thinking of just spraying it with water first and clean the car with soap and micro fiber tower, but there might still be dirt on the car and i will put alot of fine scratch on it if i try to rub those dirt off. Hopfully you guys can help.

sorta the right track...

rinse well- if you could foam it that would be best- my guess is that this isnt gonna happen... so rinse well, and then wash with the two bucket method. give up the mf for washing. guaranteed swirls, cause the mf will trap dirt- doesnt unload well.
buy a lambswool mitt. that will minimize the swirls.
wash, dry (i like big blue) then inspect-
feel the paint. if its smooth, no clay needed. if its rough it needs to be clayed.
then inspect the paint. if you see swirls, then it needs polish.
hopefully not more than you asked for !!
and we are here for your questions...

Some suggestions...

One of my current favorite wash medias is the humble grout sponge. Can be had for $2 from Home Depot. I was a bit skeptical about it until I tried one out. Well worth the cost.

Use a true car soap. Meg's Gold Class can be had from Target and it's a decent soap.

Two buckets.

On the final rinse, hose down the car without a nozzle. This will allow the water to sheet off the car, minimizing the amount of water left on the car that needs to be absorbed with a drying towel

Make sure to dry with an appropriate towel to minimize swirls. Microfiber WW towels have worked well for me.

yeah i use meg's gold class for my car's "soap",and meg's polish compound. but i just never wash that car in 6 months...well except the rain..haha
btw any wheel cleaning or product that makes the tires shine and will not attract too much brake dusk from nornal driving?

edit: I just washed the car and when i dry it, it seems like it doesnt want to dry. paint is kinda rough, should i just wash it again and then clay the car and then wax?

If the towel is catching on areas of the paint as you dry, a claying is likely in order. You can use the wash soap or a QD as a lubricant. Sonus green is a great mild clay IMO.

you can also use some QD to help with your drying process. once you do the no nozzle water bead method- spray with QD as you dry it helps.

Well... I think the best Idea would be.... take it to a car wash, and just use the rinse spray, and spray your DD down..... Get most the shit off of it, and then drive it home, and then do a full on wash... This way atleast most of the junk is off,
