Plain, straight vinegar WILL remove the water spots. They come off quite easily. I would wipe the area down with a wet microfiber towel after the vinegar and follow that up with a good instant detailer.

Enjoy,
Bob

I don't think it will. Hope that will get rid of those stained water spots.

Vinegar is also known as ascetic acid, and in it's undiluted state is quite potent (it will burn your skin on contact). I would use the store bottled stuff (which is mostly water so relatively weak) sparingly, and wash with soap and water after flushing with running water first. But. You won't have a water spot problem if your car is clean and you don't use tap water. That guy on the commercial with the bottled water knows this. Rain, dew, etc. shouldn't leave water spots....if your car is clean and polished.

Hey boss I have something that will defintely get out the water stains and it will actually improve the look of your cars finish. It is called a magic clay bar, use it in conjuction with "Maguire's Quik detail" spray. You can usually find it at auto body shops or at PPG authorized paint dealers. You can find the Mquires at Walmart. Make sure that you apply plenty of the spray before using the clay bar. It is a blue putty type bar that helps remove everything form paint overspray to bugs and tar residue. You wil be very suprised to see how it works and it smells a hell of a lot better than vinegar
