Default waterspots on windshield

haha so every time i wash my car i try really hard on the windshield with the carwash soap and a microfiber towel and have even tried windex since that was laying around. the windshield looks fine when it is still drying, but when it is totally dry there are light waterspots everywhere. i've towel dried it and it doesnt seem to make a difference. i guess this is what you call "hard" waterspots?

help

Rain-x worked for me.... I had splotches on the windows of my truck when I bought it. Used Stoners IG and couldn't get em gone with that, and I said "**** it." and put some Rain-x on the windows, and it cleared the spots right up. Don't ask me why, but it did.

Worth a shot.

you can try clay on your windows and see if it removes the spots

since i dry top to bottom, the glass is pretty much very close to first to dry, so no problems that way.
if it dried, i would use some glass cleaner.

haha actually i did try clay as i just clayed my car a week ago, didnt really work very well. i stopped as soon as i saw the rock chips grabbing a their own piece of clay

i will try rainx this weekend. its raining in socal right now, so cant put it on yet. i was thinking dish washing soap might get them out? i know that it will strip a car of its wax, but that might not apply to water spots.

new windshield no really try the rain x or a glass polish, it should get em out. glass is a lot harder to stain than paint so it should come off.

An old time remedy is to make up a spray bottle of 25% vinegar to 75% water.

As a side note, the vinegar smell goes away quickly.
