Its a good choice. I used it not that long ago. It was a little messier than I expected. Also I did not care for it when using my DA polisher but if applying by hand its solid. Also it can be found in many local stores so no need to order online. Give it a shot and take some pictures.

Want cheap and an awesome wax... Collinite 845 it's like 15bux for the can... Last just as long if not longer then a sealant and gives a good glow to the car.

I have not used the re-formulated Gold Class Carnauba Plus, but I have been surprised by the positive reviews of the product: see, e.g., comment #31 in this recent Autopia thread. In comment #29 Alfisti, who knows his waxes, actually describes GC as an "under-rated beauty wax" for black cars and compares its look to Souveran, which is high praise indeed.

There are lots of wonderful choices in waxes and sealants, but most of them are not available over-the-counter. The big question is, how much money are you willing to spend on a wax? Determine your price range and then take a look at the products in this list: "Best" Waxes and Sealants.

For a first wax, Gold Class is a reasonable choice. It's well-priced and available at local stores. I am told it is easy to apply and remove. As always, there is only one way for you to determine whether you will like this wax--you have to try it out.

One never hears about Collinite Sapphire. I searched the Autopia forum and found two people who commented on the abrasiveness of this cleaner wax, even though Collinite says that it does not contain abrasives. One person said that though it cleaned the paint well, it also left behind some marring that required further polishing. It's one of Collinite's oldest products. Perhaps it's not really suitable for clearcoat paint systems. I don't know. I personally would avoid this product. There are many other safe and effective AIO alternatives.
