what is the difference between a wax and sealant?

 

wax is "natural"- from plants... carnauba and can contain other types

synthetics are man made chemical products

(my preference is to use both- synthetic for a few coats topped by a carnauba... best of both worlds and man does this combo last, if you let it )

 

Using one or the other has it's trade offs. Using both is a nice compromise but doesn't get you 100% of the benefits of both.
