What are you using to shampoo / clean the carpet?
Although I've tried to be careful getting in and out, the drives and passengers cross-brace are getting a little dirty (beyond just vacuuming).
Any suggestions on products or approaches to use to clean the carpet (red)?
FYI . . . I don't have access to a steam buggy, which was suggested in earlier posts.
Thanks in advance.

i have never steam cleaned mine- i have 3 sets of mats that cover the cross brace, and i have just been getting rid of them when they get too worn. i use a very strong vacuum cleaner (it is a auto detailer vac), and that works for everything other than worn areas (actually it does a pretty good job bringing those areas back too).
so my suggestions:
1. make sure you have full floor coverage mats
2. use a high power vac
for stains (if i ever had any) i would use 303 Rug / Upholstery Cleaner & Spot Remover

The 303 carpet cleaner works great, then you can follow it up with their fabric protector.
To use the carpet cleaner, spray the spots and use a stiff-bristled nylon brush to agitate the spots, then wipe with a clean terry-cloth or microfiber towel, then repeat if necessary. Once it dries, apply the 303 Fabric Guard to help keep it clean as long as possible.
