Anthony,

I've used the Absorber in the past and I can tell you waffle weave micro fiber towels are WAY better. They're more durable, absorb more water (I do my whole car without even squeezing out the towel), and offer better protection against scratching that may occur during drying.

Recently, a lot of companies have starting making WW MF towels with a foam core. Supposedly they are even MORE absorbent than regular WW towels.

California blade, then chamois.

To be safe, rinse the california blades before each use and start with the windows..it actually helps lift every little "dust" that can potentially scratch your paint.

not sure I follow your statement. If anything I would say the CA blade would press surface dirt into your paint causing scratches. Several people have reported having this problem.

Of course, rinsing/wiping the blade between swipes will help to prevent this. However, IMHO the CA Blade is not the safest way to dry your car. Don't get me wrong it's relatively safe, but far from idiot proof.

I can recall seeing a product on the net that was similar to a leaf blower but specially designed to dry a vehicle with a filter system to ensure all that comes out is air. A quick look through google did not find it but if someone has a bit more time I'm sure will find. Personally I would worry about a leaf blower blasting even
micoscopic bits of crap at my paint.

Der Wunder Drying Towel is basically equivilent to Big Blue. I've got both and honestly can't tell them apart anymore except for maybe the edging (and the tags, if they're still on there). Sonus's yellow towels certainly seem more thirsty to me, but they're not as heavy, so they don't hold as much water.
