Wheel arch Liners
I have a quick question for you all.
I would like to have really black wheel arch liners - even after a good wash they always look grey and dirty - so how / what do you use on yours?
I valeted an NSX recently which had been recently purchased from a Honda dealer.
It had been prepped for sale and the linings had been blackened up.
When I valeted it I was intrigued as it appeared to be very sticky and oily which resisted the dirt/ water very, very well indeed.
Any thoughts welcomed?

you gotta be careful with what you use on that part... if its sticky at all it will collect all kinds of junk and will look worse than before.
i like very basic stuff on those parts- like 303- gets it nice looking and protected but doesnt make stuff stick to it. doesnt make it shine though either if thats what you are after. vinylex might do that.
i would stay away from products like megs endurance. that will make it black and shiny, but will likely stick stuff to it too.

Thanks Wannabe I currently 303 them but the finish isn't quite how I like it.
Some of these car haven't had their linings washed since the day it rolled out of the factory.
I am just looking for something that will restore it back to the black 'newish' look but without having to remove every last bit of dirt first
Thanks for the advice so far guys

I've been using the tire foam products you can buy at any auto parts store for the past 5 years or so. I got it in a gift pack one christmas with other stuff I would never use and figured I could use the tire foam on something. Normally I would have never used that stuff. Works really well, and my fender liners on all of my cars look new. It wears off like normal tire dressing, but it holds up well.

what about something like CD2?
I just recently bought some Meguiar's Hyper Dressing to use on wheel wells and engine bays. CD2 is getting harder and harder to find. So, I've been looking for a replacement. Hyper Dressing seems to be a popular choice. You can buy a concentrated gallon for $30 to $40 which diluted 3:1 should make about 4 gallons of dressing. So, very economical and from what I understand very effective.
Also, I use either Meguiar's APC or Meguiar's Safe D-Greaser to clean the wheel wells before hand.
