Why don't you have a bucket of warm to hot water to dip your hands into or just fill your bucket from the tub and lug it outside?

Costco sells a parabolic heater that pinpoints heat that works great too. $60.

I use Miracle Wash. No buckets and no mess. Most important of all, no scratches!

I fill my soapy water bucket with warm water in the kitchen and take it outside. Between the the warm soapy water and the cold rinse water it is bearable.

I'm having the same problem. I found two choices

1) take it to one of those "do it yourself" high preessure wash places

2) (and probably the best) just wear some warm clothes, especially warm shoes, and wear rubber maid gloves. No water on your hands means no chilled, wet hands right? plus teh rubber acts as an insulator, and there is no cold air circulating around your hands. works just fine for me
