Default Zaino questions!!!

I'm about to order some Zaino. Is this a good procedure to follow? Am I missing anything? This is my first "real" wash since I got the car a couple of weeks ago.

First time
1. Dawn
2. Z-18
3. Z-7
4. Z-5 (one coat)

Every other time
1. Z-7
2. Meguiars Quik Detailer

Do I need ZFX? And I will be using Z-5 every other week. 303 on tires and top. Do I really need Z-10, Z-12, or Z-14?

P.S. If you guys have a better routine, please post.

Procedure looks good.

Whether or not to use ZFX depends on what capabilities you want. If the ability to apply more than one coat a day and to have a near instant cure time is not important, then use Z-1 as the initial base coat.

ZFX will yield higher gloss and even more durability.

You didn't mention Z-6. It will add even more gloss, helps to maintain the polish, and contains an anti-static to help the finish stay cleaner. Z-6 responds chemically with the polish to reinforce it.

Z-2 has higher gloss characteristics than Z-5.

Z-10 and Z-12 are up to you.

Z-10 has a UV protectant, and the scent is very nice.

Z-12 will get your glass absolutely clear.

You don't need Z-14.

I agree. Claying is a very time consuming task but well worth the effort. I removed a lot of nasty stuff from my paint and the finish is as smooth as glass.

Zaino does live up to it's reputation, even after ony two coats of Z-5.

I'm not sure what took so long to Claybar the car. I don't think it has ever taken me longer than an hour to do my S2K or my Mustang.

i guess claybarring all depends on how you want to do it. me i finished in about an hour for claybar alone and all the other step took about a day. esp the two washing sequences!!
